It all started when my mom gifted me a camera for my 12th birthday.

Photography was my first love, and it has stayed that way from middle school, all the way through college & photo school.

Growing up, my mom always had a camera in her hand. Film, digital, camcorder, you name it. It was instilled in me from very young that if you want a moment to last forever, you should photograph it.

When my mom gifted me a camera for my birthday many years ago, it felt like a passing of the torch. It's my job to capture important moments now, I thought. And that's exactly what I've been doing since. For my friends, family members, and now, you (hopefully).

My family photo albums are full of seemingly mundane moments, like this one pictured. And yet, I find myself constantly wanting to go back and revisit them. This is because these moments are anything but mundane; these were precious times, spent with my family and friends, all lovingly documented by my favorite photographer, my mom.
