I’ve been a wedding photographer for almost a decade, and I wouldn’t want to do it anywhere but here in New York City. Photographing weddings in New York means getting to visit some really special places. If you’re looking to have your wedding in NYC, look no further than this list of some of the best NYC wedding venues. I’ve had the privilege of working at most of these venues before, and I can’t wait to get the opportunity to explore some new spaces. Choosing a location for your wedding will likely be one of the first big decisions you make while planning. It is also likely to make the biggest dent in your budget. Picking a venue among so many iconic places can be difficult, but I’m here to help! Let’s get scrolling.
1. 620 Loft & Garden

620 Loft and Garden is one of the most beautiful rooftop NYC wedding venues. The rooftop directly overlooks St. Patrick’s Cathedral and is highlighted by a historic manicured garden, sparkling reflective pool, and fountain. It’s an NYC wedding venue that is both extraordinary yet classic. The lofted space is entirely customizable, brightened by wall-to-wall windows flooding the indoor space with natural light.

If you’re in the neighborhood and curious about Bar Primi hosting your wedding, I recommend going in for a quick bite and letting the food do the talking.

53. W Loft
Without a doubt one of my favorite venues, this list wouldn’t feel right without including The W Loft in Brooklyn. The venue boasts elegant waterfront views of the Manhattan skyline. The glass walls making up the interior allow for guests to enjoy the view no matter what the weather is like. So, you can truly make this space whatever you dream it to be.

54. Weylin 1875
The Weylin in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is an outstanding venue. It’s also one in particular that I am really itching to photograph hopefully soon! The Weylin is the site of the iconic Williamsburg Savings Bank, built by renowned architect George B. Post and interiors designed by Peter B. Wright in 1875. Following an award winning restoration, Weylin was born. This NYC wedding and event venue acts as a multifunctional, cultural and community hub.

The Wythe in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is a top rated wedding and event venue in NYC, and for good reason. It’s versatile, modern, and its staff is attentive to every little detail. There are various spaces for your wedding — 7 to be exact — and can accommodate an intimate dining experience or a larger wedding reception. 57. Atmosfera

I cam here for the first time in October 2024 to photograph the most beautiful couple, and I was so intrigued by this space. Atmosfera was born out of a need for a blank-slate photo studio that could easily transform into your dream wedding venue. With over a decade of experience as a photographer & studio manager, DavidKasyanyuk designed and constructed Atmosfera from the ground up as part of larger dream to build and nurture a collaborative creative community in NYC.

58. Bar Marseille
I would love to photograph more weddings here. When I visited this venue almost 2 years ago, I had the absolute best time. Located in the Rockaways in Queens, Bar Marseille’s rooftop deck features ocean views and a large, open air space. The indoor dining room and bar features double height ceilings, a large marble bar and additional outdoor dining spaces. Altogether, it is ideal for al fresco parties. If anything, I suggest dining here at least once. You can easily spend all day on the beach, and afterward take a short walk over to the restaurant.

60. The Foundry

Located right next door to another NYC wedding venue (the Ravel Hotel) is The Foundry. Think of this venue as a chameleon; it’s industrial, but covered in ivy and greens. It is extremely adaptable to any style of wedding/event, and is a beautiful, meticulously restored 19th century gem.

With a stunning skyline view, the terrace/rooftop is the perfect setting for a glamorous reception or outdoor ceremony. You’ll be escorted around the grounds on a golf cart, ensuring you get to take photos in all the most beautiful areas of the garden. If you love nature, this is obviously the venue for you.
