One of the most common questions during the wedding photography booking process is “have you shot at my venue before?” Often times, the answer might be no. If that is the case, don’t be discouraged! I personally like to visit every wedding venue before the wedding, just to get a lay of the land. Usually if you have a walk-through scheduled with a planner, florist, or venue coordinator, I’ll gladly attend. However, there are plenty of venues I’ve been to already. I’ve been an NYC wedding photographer since 2018, and have had the privilege to photograph events in some pretty incredible places.
I plan to update this list as I add new venues to my roster, so by no means is this a “complete” list. Something to note, as you read along: some venues I have visited while working for other photographers, and sometimes that means I can’t share images. But trust me, if it’s on this list, I’ve walked its halls.
In kind of somewhat order of oldest-newest visited, I present to you: every wedding venue I’ve been to as an NYC wedding photographer.

The first “real” wedding venue I’ve ever photographed at during my first year of being an NYC wedding photographer is the W Loft in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The venue boasts elegant waterfront views of the Manhattan skyline, and the glass walls making up the interior allow for guests to enjoy the view no matter what the weather is like. So, you can truly make this space whatever you dream it to be.

I can’t stress enough how cool this venue is. The indoor reception space of The Roundhouse is absolutely huge and architecturally gorgeous. The outdoor space is perfectly manicured and super fun for portraits. Also, there’s a waterfall! It’s basically perfect for any and everyone. Highly recommend!

One of the most spectacular sunsets I’ve ever seen was at The Briarcliff Manor. When it comes to merging old-world charm with modern elegance, this iconic New York wedding venue does it right. It’s a full service venue, and can accommodate up to 180 guests. Plus, the manor is rumored to have hosted some pretty lavish prohibition-era events as a speakeasy.

The first time I felt like a real NYC wedding photographer was when I photographed at Merchant’s House Museum. It was in 2021 for an intimate wedding ceremony. It honestly felt like hosting your wedding in your own backyard, in the absolute best way possible. With that in mind, it’s an amazing wedding venue for intimate celebrations and portraits. The staff was accommodating and kind, and there was certainly no shortage of immaculate artifacts and greenery.

There are several locations, but the particular Moxy Hotel I had the pleasure of photographing in was located in the East Village. It is home to Cathédrale restaurant, which hosts smaller private events in a gorgeous back room in addition to the huge restaurant space.

MyMoon is our next NYC wedding venue on the list. The Williamsburg restaurant is a stunningly renovated 19th-century boiler room – exposed brick, reclaimed wooden floors, twenty-foot ceilings, and an enviable private garden. From intimate and relaxed dinners to big extravagant weddings, MyMoon will accommodate up to 166 for a seated dinner or 250 guests for cocktail style receptions. The dark & rustic interior is perfect for those looking for moodier wedding photos.

This venue is *huge*. It’s called Tarrytown House Estate on the Hudson for a reason. There are so many beautiful spaces at this one venue, we could probably spend 2 full hours exploring. Each venue on the 26-acre campus can be booked for use by itself or in conjunction with other areas of the estate. Overall, Tarrytown House Estate’s 19th century charm is the perfect backdrop for any celebration. Additionally, there’s plenty of space for guests to stay overnight. Also, there’s a delicious restaurant on-site. Such a fun venue for any NYC wedding photographer. And so close to the city!

This was the first time I got to “travel” for a wedding, and it was such an amazing time. The William Paca House in Annapolis, MD is a historic venue, perfect for any sized celebration. You can host your wedding here from April 1, through October 31; this is when the garden is at its most beautiful. When I worked here in 2021, after the wedding, the couple & their friends and I all shut down the bar down the street. Seriously guys don’t sleep on Annapolis.

Let me just say: I had one of the best overnight experiences of my life at Troutbeck. Not exaggerating when I say it was the most comfortable and cozy room I’ve ever been in. Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get into the wedding portion of it all. Troutbeck has a vast variety of event and entertaining possibilities on property. Each wedding is a bespoke, custom-tailored event. When you book with them, you will have exclusive access to the property for a full 24 hours (Saturday at 12pm – Sunday at 12pm). Each season makes this place more beautiful somehow, so you’re guaranteed to have an incredible day no matter the time of year.

There are two Botanic Garden wedding venues in New York, but let’s start with Brooklyn’s. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden is one of the most beautiful – not to mention SPACIOUS – NYC wedding venues. With plenty of onsite locations to choose from, you’re guaranteed to have a night to remember. It’s also a wonderful place for engagement photos, too.

The New York Botanical Garden is an iconic living museum and one of the greatest botanical gardens in the world. You’ll be escorted around the grounds on a golf cart, ensuring you get to take photos in all the most beautiful areas of the garden. If you love nature, this is the venue for you. The garden is home to three different “venues,” so you’ll have your choice of which fits your wedding day vibe the best. Stone Mill is best for more intimate celebrations, and the Garden Terrace room is capable of hosting up to 300 guests. Every inch of this place is beautiful.

I debated whether or not to include this, since it’s not an official “wedding venue.” But I think I’d be doing a disservice as an NYC wedding photographer if I didn’t list every place you’re able to host a wedding. So, here we are! Brandy Library is located in Tribeca, a stone’s throw away from the original Ghostbusters headquarters. This bar/restaurant is perfect for a dinner-party themed wedding with its cozy and intimate setting.

Next on the list is Pelham Bay & Split Rock Golf Course. This venue lives in Pelham Bay Park, New York’s largest park. It’s home to a wide array of elegant venues, including the 1,800-square-foot art deco Great Room, the glass-enclosed pavilion which can accommodate more than 220 guests, the picturesque gazebo with seasonal flora and a charming stone walkway, and more. A truly beautiful venue, plus the cocktail hour pasta is delicious.

I love working at this venue, because even though I’m an NYC wedding photographer, I live in New Jersey (I just prefer working in NY) and am just a 15 minute drive away from here. The Tides Estate is a massive venue, with their ballroom being able to host up to 400 guests. Yeah, it’s massive. The spaces used for getting ready can double as a pretty good portrait-taking location. Any room in The Tides Estate is honestly perfect for photo-taking. There is also a great little garden area outside just beyond the back patio.

Next on the list is the Liberty Warehouse in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Located on Pier 41 in the historic shipping yards of Red Hook, Brooklyn. The building was constructed in the pre-Civil War 1850’s and has recently been renovated into a charming event space. This NYC wedding venue is one of those “blank canvases”. It’s a pretty industrial-looking space, but you’re free to make it your own. Being right on the water, the sunsets are absolutely incredible. And don’t get me started on the food (it’s amazing).
One of the first venues on Long Island I’ve been to, and it did not disappoint. Nestled in the North Fork’s Peconic Bay and Long Island wine country, the Peconic Bay Yacht Club offers beautiful facilities for every kind of event. With spectacular views and versatile grounds the Peconic Bay Yacht Club is the perfect setting to host grand or intimate weddings. The property offers a waterfront lawn, a private marina, an exquisite indoor ballroom, lounge, private tasting room, and panoramic view from the terrace.
The sunsets I’ve witnessed from this venue are nothing short of incredible. Le Chateau is perfect for anyone who wants a classic ballroom, without the usual cheesiness that typically comes with a catering hall. This space is the perfect blend of modern and traditional, and the views just can’t be beat. If this helps in your decision making, once during a cocktail hour there was an entire table of different kinds of potatoes. Do with that what you will.
Another NJ wedding venue, the iconic David’s Country Inn. When I photographed a wedding here years ago, it kind of felt like we were all partying in a big multi-family mansion, in the best way. It’s a homey, timeless venue, and the ballroom is pretty newly renovated. I’ve only been here once, but that’s all it took to make an amazing first impression.
The Rushmore Estate is kind of like if you took a little Euopean villa and transported it to New York. I really would love to come back here, because the first (and only) time I’ve worked here, I was *deathly* ill. But even in my dayquil haze, I could recognize that this space is truly special. The architecture is unique, there’s an on-site pool, and the lighting around golden hour is spectacular.
As an NYC wedding photographer, when I worked at Current a few years back, it honestly felt like I was at a destination wedding. Stepping inside the venue, it no longer feels like you’re in the middle of a bustling city, but a secluded, sophisticated space with amazing waterfront views. And AMAZING food.
Who doesn’t want to get married in a castle? Dating back to 1838, Lyndhurst Mansion remains one of America’s finest Gothic Revival mansions with acres of lush landscape and a collection of original decorative art. The views are spectacular, the mansion is incredibly well-kept, and the grounds are super spacious. There are endless spots for wedding photographs here, and like I said, WHO doesn’t want to get married in a castle???

Another Long Island Wedding venue, and I think this one might be my favorite. Maybe. I first photographed at the Mansion at Glen Cove in 2022 and have been itching to return. The mansion itself is so grand, without being too much. The grounds are super expansive, with an on-site pool and an option to host your event outdoors in the tented area, which holds 700 guests. Yes, 700. You have to see this place to believe it, truly.
Located in Princeton, NJ is the beautiful Nassau Inn. A stone’s throw away from Princeton University, this venue is full of surprises (like it’s deceptively large interior compared to its unassuming exterior). It’s one of 300 hotels in America recognized for preserving its rich architectural ambiance & historic integrity. A perfect place to celebrate, year-round.
An incredible tavern & catering space located in New York State is Hudson’s Mill. This space has witnessed the history of North Rockland and the Hudson Valley, and many were determined to honor the unique history of this New York community. By restoring the original woodwork and removing 17 layers of paint to find the Haverstraw clay brick underneath, this building has returned to the beauty of its history. Every decision was carefully made with the history and reverence of the space in mind. The bar wall is even made with stair treads from buildings in New York City! Dripping in history, this venue is perfect for those looking to honor their NY roots.

The Lotte New York Palace truly lives up to its name. This place is a PALACE. Lotte New York Palace simply radiates the elegance and romance of New York City. With its breathtaking gated courtyard on Madison Avenue and striking Renaissance architecture, any couple hosting their wedding here is sure to be stunned and impressed. St. Patrick’s Cathedral is literally across the street, and Radio City/the Rainbow Room are just a 5 minute walk away.

The Burden Kahn Mansion is such a grand, spectacular, and classic New York City wedding venue. The sheer detail in the construction means tons of photo opportunities throughout the property. Located off of E. 91st street, there is quick access to Central Park. The venue also has a huge stone patio/balcony, and jaw-dropping, ornate wall/ceiling design. It is modeled after the Galeries des Glaces of Versailles, with twelve foot high doors paneled with oblong mirrors that surround the ballrooms. Also, some notable guests to grace these rooms include Mark Twain and Giacomo Puccini. Although it is an extremely large venue, the guest count cannot exceed 100.
One of the most beautiful areas is the Berkshires, and one of the most beautiful hotels is The Kemble. The Kemble is a newly renovated historic Gilded Age mansion and registered Great Estate located in the heart of Lenox MA, one of the most vibrant towns in the Berkshires. It features thirteen unique rooms, beautiful event spaces and sweeping views of some of the most beautiful mountains that the Berkshires has to offer.
Continuing our tour of the Berkshires, next is Chesterwood. I’ve only been here once, and I can’t believe more people aren’t getting married here. This is one of the coolest spaces I’ve ever seen, with an even more incredible backstory. Chesterwood is the former summer home, studio and gardens of America’s foremost 20th century public sculptor. Daniel Chester French is best known for Minute Man, 1874 (Concord, MA) and the seated figure of Abraham Lincoln for the Lincoln Memorial, 1922 (Washington, DC). BTW, part of your payment for this venue is tax-deductible, as it’s a historical/conservational organization! The more you know.

This list certainly wouldn’t feel complete without mentioning Windham Manor. A beautiful venue that seemingly pulls off the impossible: having a rustic-like charm while still feeling luxurious. The 45-acre property features a beautiful, newly renovated 12 bedroom mansion, accommodating up to 33 overnight guests. Additionally, the property is home to “The Barn.” It’s a stunning, newly-constructed space that can hold 300+ guests for dinner and dancing.

The Ravel Hotel, located in Queens, is a truly fun and versatile New York City wedding venue. With a stunning skyline view, the terrace/rooftop is the perfect setting for a glamorous reception or outdoor ceremony. There is also a gorgeous rooftop pool called “The Summer Club,” perfect for rehearsal dinners or after parties!

Located literally *next door* to the Ravel Hotel is The Foundry. Think of this venue as a chameleon; it’s industrial, but covered in ivy and greens. It is extremely adaptable to any style of wedding/event, and is a beautiful, meticulously restored 19th century gem.

One of my favorite spaces as an NYC wedding photographer is the The William Vale Hotel in Brooklyn. The rooftop on the 23rd floor has the most amazing views, perfect for ceremonies and under-the-stars receptions. There are also multiple options within the hotel itself, like the ballroom/foyer, Westlight Bar, Terrace, and Leuca private dining room. This space can be transformed to fit whatever your vision is, all with unbeatable NYC views.

1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge is an amazing waterfront retreat right in Brooklyn. This hotel wedding venue has some unique architectural details along the exterior, and a bar upstairs that provides gorgeous views of the Brooklyn Bridge. The hotel was brought to life with a focus on honoring and protecting the world around us, while providing a luxury experience to their guests.

A beautiful waterfront restaurant wedding venue is the River Café. It’s nestled in DUMBO on the Manhattan skyline, and is an NYC wedding photographer’s dream. Not only is it a Michelin-starred restaurant, but also is a perfect wedding venue. It’s complete with a beautiful garden, unbeatable views, and delicious food. A classic, intimate NYC dining experience that is sure to wow your guests.

Growing up & living in NJ, I go down the shore as much as I can. When I got to work at the ICONA hotel in Avalon, NJ, it was the best of my work life & personal life combining. The jersey shore is like a second home to me, and photographing weddings in a space as beautiful and charming as the ICONA hotel is a dream. With incredible beachfront views and amazing food, this venue is shore (LOL) to be the perfect fit for any celebration.

Another Massachusetts wedding venue, not far from the aforementioned Chesterwood & The Kemble. Tanglewood is an amazing, expansive venue best known for hosting outdoor concerts and other live music events. The views are unparalleled, and an equally beautiful indoor space for getting ready & portraits. The Berkshires don’t mess around.
Nestled at the base of Bear Mountain along the Appalachian Trail, the Bear Mountain Inn and Overlook Lodge is the perfect setting for a romantic wedding, surrounded by nature. From the Inn it’s about a 10 minute drive up the mountain where you can get the most breathtaking photos.

A staple of Brooklyn is 501 Union. The building dates back to 1916 and once served as a classic car restoration shop. It was transformed into an event venue in 2013 and now provides a unique backdrop for Brooklyn’s most stylish weddings. The covered atrium allows for sun-dappled ceremonies, and the custom built tables are excellent for a family-style dining experience.

I’ve been here many times, have seen all seasons, and can confidently say this place is perfect no matter when you’re there. Drowned Lands Brewery is great for those planning a more intimate celebration, and of course, it doesn’t hurt if you love beer. The interior is modern, and the grounds offer breathtaking views of the Hudson Valley. Come up for some pizza & lager and you’ll see the light.

For more intimate affairs, I cannot recommend Il Buco enough. The downstairs private dining area is charming wine cellar, fitted with ladders to reach the very top shelves. The staff couldn’t be more welcoming, and the food is incredible and innovative. It has medieval dungeon meets underground club in NYC vibes, which to me is a perfect combo.

I love this place. The Tuxedo Club is a charming & iconic private club, rich with New York City history. The Tuxedo Club is a distinctive social institution that, since 1886, has provided its members and their families and guests with recreation and refuge in the close environs of Metropolitan New York City. The Club’s vast grounds, varied sporting venues and multiple clubhouse facilities make it one of the most special private clubs in the world. Each room has its own personality, and being on the water makes it feel like a magical oasis away from bustling NYC.

Bar Primi has two locations and is a casual Italian pasta shop, and they pride themselves on making pasta the traditional way. Their wine is also straight from Italy, so you know it’s the good stuff. Every second of dining here feels so authentically Italian, while still being the perfect balance of chic and cozy. If you’re in the neighborhood and curious about Bar Primi hosting your wedding, I recommend going in for a quick bite and letting the food do the talking.

Welcome to Philadelphia! The Guild House Hotel is such a cute, boutique-y space perfect for hosting your upcoming wedding. The lovingly restored 1855 rowhome is a National Historic Landmark that invites all couples to celebrate their union in a space that honors advancement, history, love, and thoughtful design.

One of my favorite place I’ve been to, even as an NYC wedding photographer. It feels sacrilegious to favor a museum not in New York City, but once you step foot into this venue you’ll understand. PAFA events break away from the traditional hotel/ballroom mold, providing your guests an immersive and unique experience. You can feel good booking an event here—your rental fees go towards fulfilling PAFA’s mission of educating tomorrow’s artists.
I love a waterfront venue, and the Piermont absolutely delivers. With its dramatic views of the Great South Bay and breathtaking sunsets, The Piermont offers some of the most beautiful indoor and outdoor weddings on Long Island. When I was here, it didn’t even feel like Long Island, if that helps (I’m so sorry Long Island).
My first time in Tampa and the Edition Hotel was the perfect inaugural venue. Before I say anything else, I need to emphasize: this place smells incredible. I don’t know what they’re pumping into this hotel, but if nothing else sells you, let this be it. In the heart of the Water Street District, The Tampa EDITION brings together modern event venues, vibrant aesthetics and personalized service to create unforgettable experiences of any size and occasion. This hotel offers over 8,000 square feet of private event space that can accommodate endless offerings — from sophisticated weddings to enchanting celebrations, professional functions and more.
If I’m going to Long Island, it better be worth it (no offense). Bedell Cellars is a venue that makes it worth it. As an NYC wedding photographer, I know I have to travel a bit to find some hidden gems, and that’s exactly what this venue represents. Bedell Cellars is a pioneering, family owned winery in the long island wine growing region. They’re truly dedicated to quality and creativity in everything they do. With a commitment to sustainable farming, they have hand-crafted wines in small batches for FORTY years using methods that define the regional style.
Talk about ICONIC. Gather Greene is located in upstate NY (to the downstate people) and is home to an expansive, gorgeous space. Gather Greene is a design-forward event venue perched on over a hundred acres with dramatic landscapes, stunning views, and modern amenities. This space offers guests an unparalleled variety of unique indoor and outdoor experiences to connect with nature and with each other.

This is such a unique venue, and once again I’m shocked that more people aren’t tying the knot here. Atmosfera is like if an intimate wedding venue and a photo studio had a baby. It’s truly such a blank canvas in the best way, allowing you to transform it to fit whatever your vision may be.

I’ve funnily enough only been here in the winter, but each time was more beautiful than the last. Park Savoy is home to so many beautiful rooms, a newly renovated chapel, and gorgeous grounds that look west. Nestled in a historical garden setting, The Park Savoy Estate’s timeless mansion and gardens offer you the picture perfect and uniquely elegant site for your wedding day.
You will not believe you’re in West Orange when you’re here. Pleasantdale Chateau is a historic chateau and magnificent estate that offers a grand, yet intimate environment for a wedding celebration unlike any other, with a timeless sophistication and attention to even the smallest detail. It would probably take 2 wedding days to photograph in every beautiful spot at this venue.
Another Chateau! What are the odds. Park Chateau, also in NJ, is an undeniably gorgeous wedding & event space. The garden area alone is reason enough to host your day here. This elegant wedding venue allows your guests to step into the pages of a classic French Novel by embracing the gorgeous architecture of the time and capturing the essence of romance.
The Weylin in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is an outstanding venue. It’s the site of the iconic Williamsburg Savings Bank, built by renowned architect George B. Post and interiors designed by Peter B. Wright in 1875. Following an award winning restoration, Weylin was born. This NYC wedding and event venue acts as a multifunctional, cultural and community hub. And it’s HUGE. You can throw one hell of a party here.
I couldn’t believe I was still in New Jersey when I photographed a wedding here. This might be my favorite NJ wedding venue, and I am absolutely dying to come back. Pendry Natirar is part resort/hotel, restaurant, garden, wedding venue — you name it, they’ve got it. With a picture-perfect 500-acre farm setting, a collection of historic and beautifully designed spaces, signature Pendry service, acclaimed food & beverage destinations and offerings and more, you’re in good hands when you host your wedding day here.
The Wythe in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is a top rated wedding and event venue in NYC, and for good reason. It’s versatile, modern, and its staff is attentive to every little detail. There are various spaces for your wedding — 7 to be exact — and can accommodate an intimate dining experience or a larger wedding reception. Originally a historic Brooklyn factory, the Wythe is now a boutique hotel and is a great place to consider for your wedding.
Surprisingly, this venue is *not* part of the Wythe Hotel. 74Wythe is the newest addition to the roster of Williamsburg wedding venues, and as an NYC wedding photographer, it’s such an exciting and beautiful space. Designed as a multifunctional hospitality venue, 74Wythe offers 15,000 square feet of enchanting indoor-outdoor event space. Sitting atop a historic property in the heart of Williamsburg, it offers mesmerizing event spaces, exceptional service, and breathtaking views, sure to impress every attendee. Chic and enchanting with a distinctly modern feel, it will take your special event to a new level.
What’s more New York than a wedding venue in Central Park? Tavern on the Green is nestled just inside Central Park and is a historic landmark restaurant like no other. This NYC venue invites its guests to celebrate the spirit of New York all while being a warm, welcoming, personal place.
The Glasshouse in Chelsea is a unique, multifunctional wedding and event venue. It’s another NYC wedding venue with amazing floor to ceiling windows. From here, you can see the Hudson River and all of Midtown Manhattan. The Glasshouse in Chelsea offers full event planning, audiovisual and lighting services, and hotel level staffing for flawless execution.

What would this list be without City Hall? I think in addition to Disney World & any THC dispensary, the marriage bureau is one of the happiest places on earth. The green leather couches? Iconic. The unique little ceremony rooms? Chic. And the GORGEOUS architecture that surrounds City Hall Park is truly unbeatable. Plus, the subway station just down the street is one you’ll actually want to take photos in.

Guastavino’s is the architectural jewel of NYC and is available exclusively for private eents and weddings. It’s also a designated interior landmark! Additionally, it has the highest staff-to-guest ratio in the city. With that in mind, you will be in excellent hands when you choose to host your wedding here. It’s also just really stunning, too.

I’ve only been to the Park Lane Hotel once, but holy moly I could easily spend a while photographing in there. Park Lane offers something new and distinct, an expressive only-of-its-kind place for your gathering. This venue is packed to the brim with unique event spaces, just waiting for thoughtful conversations and special moments to bring them to life. Just a heads up for anyone just getting READY at the Park Lane Hotel but not having your ceremony and/or reception: you have to make sure you alert the front desk/marketing team of any photo shoot requests. This will ensure you’re able to utilize their most beautiful rooms.
One of the first rooftop bars I ever photographed at, and I really loved my time here. MONARCH rooftop is located on the 18th floor penthouse, this rooftop lounge offers a true NYC atmosphere with amazing views of the Empire State Building, specializing in refreshing speciality cocktails, delicious bites, unbeatable views, and premium table service and hospitality.

Located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, The Box House Hotel is a great option for your wedding day if you’re a fan of boutiquey, BK charm. Complete with a vintage taxi right out front, the Box House Hotel offers an authentic Brooklyn experience to all of its guests, and therefor, to all of *your* guests. The once doors and windows manufacturing facility is now home to 126 rooms featuring spacious lofts and suites with soaring ceilings and factory details. Their sister properties, Henry Norman Hotel, Franklin Guesthouse, and Habitat 101, are each part of the network of hotels owned and operated by the team that makes them whole.

Radio Star in Greenpoint, Brooklyn is one of the coolest (and tastiest) NYC restaurant wedding venues I’ve worked at. It is a relatively new space, and part of the Glasserie Events family. It is located in Transmitter Park, and is an homage to the radio era of the 1940s — hence the name, Radio Star. Even the fixtures and furniture of Radio Star are original from the time period.
Glen Island Harbour Club is regarded as Westchester’s Premier Waterfront Wedding Venue. You and your guests will feel like you’re on a secluded island (because you literally are), and again…the sunsets from here…unbeatable. And I will note: I’ve never seen such an extensive cocktail hour setup. The food stations were endless.

I photographed a wedding here for the first time in the fall of 2023, and since then, I have been itching to go back. Capitale was originally the Bowery Savings Bank, and is now a national historic landmark. Everything about this NYC wedding venue represents true elegance and sophistication. Additionally, it is absolutely massive. Capitale can be the perfect place to host any event, especially a wedding!

A favorite New York state wedding venue for me. I’ve only been here once, like plenty of other venues on this list, but it was such an unforgettable experience. Imagine a three-day celebration where everything is taken care of, leaving you free to savor each special moment. With on-site accommodations for 30 guests, you can fully immerse yourselves in the beauty of Pioneer Farm—enjoying welcome gatherings, peaceful nights under the stars, and a farewell brunch all in one relaxing, stress-free setting. Plus, right down the road is one of my other favorite places: the Warwick Drive-in!

Where do I begin with this particular venue? The Beekman Hotel is truly iconic, and if you find yourself in the Financial District of NYC, you simply must go in for dinner or drinks. The architecture is the real star of the show here; I mean, when the view *inside* is comparable to the view *outside*, that’s when you know you’re in a very special place. Beautifully bespoke vintage pieces accent every room and hallway to create a turn of the century experience unlike any other. Calling all fashion, history, and architecture aficionados: this is the wedding venue for you.
The Farmhouse is set on 10 sprawling acres of gardens and framed by towering oak trees, it is a 340-year-old historic estate that has welcomed generations of gatherings. Thoughtfully restored over time, it blends its colonial roots with modern comforts, creating a setting where timeless elegance meets warmth and hospitality.

Frankies is one of those restaurants where the second you enter, you feel all warm and fuzzy. I had the privilege of both dining and working here, and trust me when I say this is a perfect place for a Brooklyn wedding. Their event space includes the iconic Frankies Gardens as well as the Stable, making it ideal for weddings. Their next-door neighbor and sister restaurant Franks Wine Bar boasts an idyllic tavern atmosphere and two gorgeous dining areas that are exceptionally suited for indoor gatherings. Frankies regularly caters events at a number of New York’s most in-demand venues, including Brooklyn Grange, Pioneer Works, 501 Union, The Green Building, The Bordone LIC, and 26 Bridge. Make your next dinner (or event) resy at Frankies, you won’t regret it.

One of the most beautiful venues I’ve had the pleasure of working at. The Boat House at Prospect Park offers a breathtaking natural setting and a stately backdrop for your next wedding, birthday celebration, corporate event, fashion show, meeting and more. This Beaux Arts style building overlooks the scenic Lullwater and Lullwater Bridge, and features exclusive catering from Purslane, the team behind well-loved Brooklyn restaurants Rucola, June and Rhodora.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in recent years (maybe ever), and a ginormous reception & event space. Battello in Jersey City is right on the water with perfect views of NYC, and is perfect for those who want to throw A) a big ass party B) an unforgettable dinner celebration. Come here for brunch, explore the space, and let it convince you to host your wedding here so I can photograph it.

Only an 8 minute drive from where I live, Felina in Ridgewood, NJ is another bank-turned-wedding venue that is sure to leave you speechless. I’ve eaten here too, and it is absolutely incredible. The food is delicious, the event staff is so kind, and who doesn’t love a checkered dance floor?!

Another venue that makes the drive to/through Long Island worth it. Located way out in Greenport, the Sound View is a hotel that overlooks the beach, and is a perfect wedding venue all year round. When I photographed a wedding here in 2024, I literally didn’t want to leave. Which is insane, because the next day I left for a 2 week vacation to Italy.
Resuming our NJ wedding venue appreciation tour, we have Crossed Keys Estate. A family owned and operated business, Crossed Keys Estate is dedicated to creating a truly unforgettable experience for you and your guests. The grounds are expansive, and the iconic HUGE windows in the reception space allow for natural light to illuminate your celebration until the inevitable beautiful sunset.

One of the most underrated New York wedding venues in my opinion. This place is INSANELY beautiful. The Hempstead House/Sands Point Preserve was designed for entertaining in the grand style that defined the Gold Coast period. On the Preserve’s 216 acres are a Celtic castle, a roaring 1920s mansion, beautiful gardens and the Great Lawn – making a truly unique event possible.

Located on the water in Greenwich, CT, the Delamar is a beautiful boutique hotel that is the definition of chic & timeless. It’s the perfect space for getting ready, a sit-down dinner party-style reception, or an al fresco rehearsal dinner/welcome party at L’escale restaurant.

Blue Hill at Stone Barns is one of those places you just *need* to visit, even if you’re not holding your wedding there. The farm to table food is absolutely outrageous, and the grounds is stunning. Weddings at Blue Hill at Stone Barns can be hosted in the beautiful HayLoft, which offers soaring ceilings, original stonework and can accommodate up to 260 guests. Ceremonies can be hosted on site, and the outdoor gardens are the perfect site for cocktail hour.

One of my favorite places to kick off a wedding weekend. Larchmont Shore Club (a hop, skip, & a jump away from the Yacht Club) is a waterfront venue that’s as beautiful as it is friendly. Everyone in this town is so nice, and they all work here and at the Yacht Club I swear. Upon arriving, you can see straight through the front door all the way through the back porch and to the harbor. The sunsets are spectacular, the grounds are beautiful (especially in the spring & summer when the flowers are blooming) and the ambiance is fun & relaxed.

The Larchmont Yacht Club is the perfect space for any event, especially a wedding. If you’re a member of the yacht club, I strongly recommend you consider this space as your venue. The staff couldn’t be sweeter, the food is delicious and being right on the water, the sunsets are amazing. I’ve been here many times, and always fine a new, fun spot to photograph in. An underrated New York wedding venue in my opinion.

One of my favorite restaurants near me in NJ, and another gorgeous venue. Biagio’s in Paramus, NJ has multiple event spaces inside, perfect for any sized wedding or celebration. The last time I was here was for my friend Karen’s wedding (which I photographed and then attended as a guest), and it was some of the most fun I’ve ever had. We went from the reception to the bar, where we hung out until 2AM. Highly recommend.

One of my favorites! Wainwright House is located in Rye, and is one of the most beautiful places to host your wedding. In the spring and summer, the light that pours into the outdoor tented space during golden hour is nothing short of magical. It’s also right on the water, and if you look really hard, you can see a view of the NYC skyline. Inside and out, this place is perfect.

The High Line is one of the most interesting and iconic parks in New York City. Just one block away is the High Line Hotel in Chelsea, a beautiful boutique hotel and event space. Unlike any event space in New York City, The High Line Hotel’s Refectory has been host to A-list film premieres and after parties, society weddings, and intimate dinners and cocktail receptions. Its flexible interior space is also enhanced by a variety of pre- and post-event function rooms that allow for easy flow and private lounges in addition to a main event

What’s more “New York” than the New York Public Library? Not only is this place gorgeous, but it is also absolutely massive. It’s timeless, elegant, and will certainly make for an unforgettable wedding venue. The classic architecture will also definitely add an amazing quality to your wedding portraits.

My boyfriend was actually the one who stumbled upon this venue, and it was many years ago. However, I have always kept it in the back of my mind as a great place to host a wedding, and I’ve since shot a few engagement sessions here. It’s a stone’s throw away from Bryant Park and happens to have not only a delicious food menu, but also a compelling rooftop space perfect for events. Most importantly, it’s a space able to be used year round. Thanks to their retractable glass roof, indoor seating and outdoor terrace, Refinery Rooftop is the place to be. Whether you’re sitting down to lunch or enjoying a handcrafted cocktail in the evening. The staff is incredibly accommodating, and will absolutely go above and beyond for your big day.

Every hotel in New York is iconic in its own way, and as an NYC wedding photographer I feel so lucky to visit as many of them as possible. Chosen by Conde Nast Readers as one of the top 100 hotels in the world, and among the top 25 in NYC, The Kimberly Hotel is the perfect venue for a wedding. Weddings booked at The Kimberly Hotel includes a complimentary Bridal Suite with a balcony and sweeping Manhattan view for the night of the wedding for the new couple.

Back to Long Island! Land’s End is a beach-front venue, and the beautiful grounds & landscaping design make you feel like you’re far from NY. Nestled along Long Island’s Great South Bay in the charming town of Sayville, Land’s End offers an unparalleled setting where breathtaking water views, lush gardens, and exceptional cuisine come together seamlessly. With impeccable service and a stunning coastal backdrop, Land’s End is the premier destination for waterfront weddings, private celebrations, and distinguished events

If you enjoy bespoke cocktails and moody, intimate settings, this is the place for you. Nestled within a charming historic townhouse, The Raines Law Room at The William offers the perfect setting for any event. Whether you’re planning a sophisticated cocktail reception, an intimate private dinner, or a beautiful wedding, this venue provides the perfect ambiance.

This place was beautiful when I was here last and it was pouring rain, so I can only imagine how amazing it is when the weather is cooperative. Old Westbury Golf & Country Club was originally the family estate of William C. Whitney. The property housed racing stables and prized Angus cattle before being sold in 1961 to become Old Westbury’s first ever private country club. If rich history & stunning panoramic views are your thing, look no further than Old Westbury.

Union Square Cafe is a neighborhood restaurant founded in the 80s, and remains one of New York’s most essential restaurants. The experience you’ll have here is one centered around warmth, comfort, celebration, and hospitality. The upstairs dining room is perfect for smaller gatherings, but you also have the option of reserving the entire restaurant. Either way, you’re in for a fabulous night here.

Talk about incredible views. Tappan Hill Mansion is located on the former estate of Mark Twain and surrounded by the rolling hills of the Hudson Valley. Perched on a hilltop overlooking the Hudson River, the stunning stone structure combines historic grandeur with contemporary amenities. Graciously appointed rooms, garden terraces, and private suites make it ideal for your upcoming wedding.

Crest Hollow Country Club is an iconic, resort-inspired (IMO) club perfect for weddings & events. I honestly feel like if they filmed Love Island here, no one would realize its NY. Founded by the visionary couple Tita and Joseph Monti, the club was built on a foundation of love and a commitment to the community. Aside from hosting beautiful events, the founders dedicated many years (& lots of $$) to funding cancer research.

There are few things more “New York” than hosting your wedding at a venue as iconic as the MAD Museum. Floor to ceiling windows in Robert Restaurant provide stunning views of Columbus Circle & Central Park, and a venue filled to the brim with art means getting away with minimal decor. There’s no way your guests will ever forget a wedding held here.

Perfect for a dinner party reception or rehearsal dinner, we have Mino Brasserie. Located in the West Village, Mino is serving up some of the best French faire in the city. Designed to transport you to a relaxing and polished atmosphere on the other side of the Atlantic, the high ceiling space is filled with plenty of natural light while the smooth zinc countertop, oak wood floors, tan banquettes and massive Antique mirrors evoke the trademarks of the French capital institutions called brasseries. Sophisticated & chic.

I could spend an entire day here and it probably wouldn’t be enough. PUBLIC is great for more intimate celebrations (hosting about 80-100 guests I believe) and will give you the most editorial couples photo session you could ask for. With mirrors literally *everywhere*, this venue is an NYC wedding photographer’s playground. The mirrored escalator is iconic, there’s an adorable coffee shop in the lobby (a must), and the rooftop for your ceremony provides a stunning NYC skyline backdrop.

The Glass Ceiling is just that, a beautiful rooftop cocktail lounge with a stunning glass ceiling sitting atop the city skyline in the heart of Nomad, Manhattan. The design adds a glamorous touch to the botanical theme, The Glass Ceiling is a “secret garden” in the sky. The space is multi-dimensional – shifting from a lounge serving light bites and cocktails to an intimate, curated events space. Featuring indoor and outdoor seating, show-stopping views of the Empire State Building, and an escape from your everyday urban routine.

In all my years of being an NYC wedding photographer, the only place where one of my couples & their guests have been able to play Mario Kart projected on the building has been at SECOND. Spanning an entire city block, this venue offers the ultimate blank canvas for your wedding day. And if you’re wondering how many vinatage arcade games you could fill this place with, the answer is at LEAST 4.

I love a mansion. I think if you’re still reading, that’s pretty apparent. Bourne Mansion is so beautiful, and I’m anxiously awaiting the next time I can return. This venue is a historic Vanderbilt mansion; a turn-of-the-century work of art that offers a traditional and classic setting for the grandest black tie affairs. The black & white checkered floor in the bar alone makes this place worth it (I’m only kind of kidding).

Another beautiful venue just minutes from my home in New Jersey. My best friend got married here in 2025, and I returned just a few months later to photograph a wedding for one of my own couples. Hackensack Golf Club is an iconic venue in NJ, and has one of the most beautiful properties of any golf club I’ve ever been to before. Pair that with an ultra-attentive staff and amazing food, and you’ve got yourself an amazing place to host your wedding.
IMO, 99 Scott is “minimalism” / “industrial” done right. 99 Scott is a mixed-use venue located in Brooklyn. Comprised of three distinct settings, featuring indoor and outdoor spaces, the venue is perfectly suited for creative events, private gatherings, and photo & film shoots.

My jaw literally dropped the first time I walked into the main house on the Spillian property. The interior is like something out of “Interview with the Vampire” in the absolute best way possible, and the ambiance around the outdoor reception/dance floor space is absolutely incredible. It’s the perfect combination of dark, moody, rustic, nature-y, all the best things. I can’t wait to come back.

One of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve been to in NYC as a wedding photographer. Crane Club restaurant is located in West Chelsea, and if you love the color red & delicious focaccia, you’ll probably want to live here. There is not a single bad thing on this menu, every dish is crafted with such love & care, and the atmosphere is warm, cozy, and classic New York.
Have you ever wanted to do pilates, do some work, have coffee, go to the sauna, AND get married at the same place?? Well, you’re in luck. At SAA Brooklyn, you can do all of that. SAA is a members-only club focused on wellness, networking, dining, and event-hosting. You can really make this space your own, and let me just say…the food here is amazing.

One of my favorite venues I’ve been to in recent years. Surrounded by acres of protected forests, native foliage and wildlife, Arrow Park is a private estate in New York’s Hudson Valley. The property includes a historic mansion, gardens, beach area, Arrow Lake and banquet hall. Arrow Park has been repeatedly recognized as a top New York wedding venue for excellence in quality, service, responsiveness and professionalism throughout these past few years.
Last but certainly not least (so far) of every venue I’ve been to so far as an NYC wedding photographer is the iconic Rainbow Room. When you’re in a venue surrounded by shimmering crystals and endless views, the sheer elegance sets the standard for an unforgettable evening. There are four unique spaces that can be booked separately or together for a truly remarkable NYC wedding experience. Also, the dance floor spins. FUN!
